So, here’s what I know:
- If you want something you’ve got to out after it;
- If you’re going after it and it’s not working, the problem is not your unworthiness, it’s your approach;
- If you want to change your approach, the Universe will guide the way… but FIRST you have to figure out how to receive that guidance and action it.
I learned the hard way. I started my business with no money, no idea how to market myself and very little patience with process. I just wanted it all to happen right now! (And, of course, it didn’t.)
I figured that if I was learning all these spiritual ideas and actioning the Law of Attraction then everything would just work out. (And, of course, it didn’t!)
Ten years, and some pretty hard knocks, later I’ve set a goal to reach 1,000,000 by 2020 and to share all the lessons I learned along the way.
All those times that I wanted to just throw in the towel because it was too hard, and the ways in which I figured out how to keep going regardless, taught me some pretty valuable lessons.
Such as… patience is rewarded but no one else is going to notice how amazing you’re being and how much you’re growing, so don’t expect any kudos. Your success is inner work not outer work, and only you can trust it. Everyone has an opinion and if you listen, you’ll get lost on your own life journey.
And… If you want something and it’s not working out, then your worthiness of it is not in question. Instead, you have to change your approach to it (that’s the inner work bit….). The Law of Attraction is the most amazingly simple idea in the world, but our inner emotional complexity likes to make us think that it’ll never work for us.
Where it all began…
I started this journey in 2005. I was discovering a latent, hidden talent for sharing guidance with people about their lives and how to create more peace, love and humility. I’d been realizing that behind all those comments that had been made my whole life about how ‘intuitive’ I was, there was a connection to something…
So, I threw myself into that connection… and fell on my face. This connection to God/Universe/Source was still weak but I could see hope and a future that felt powerful. I dropped everything and began to follow this idea of sharing my psychic connection with others and helping them to build their lives in new ways. I mean, I’d seen how great it was to watch people begin to smile as everything I was sharing with them began to open them up to hope and peace…
But I had no idea how to create success for myself.
And I created a great deal of financial suffering because I didn’t want to listen to much of the guidance I was receiving for myself about staying in a part time job whilst I tried to set up my business.
I just wanted everything to work out! Now! And I thought I could just force it into place.
Yet suffering has a way of waking us up. I began to see that all the struggles had a very different meaning to what I thought. The guidance that I was receiving from God/Universe/Source was highlighting to me the pathway to being more humble. That word used to make me cringe. But I bean to see that, today, in the 21st century, it was about being spiritual AND successful. That humility made us stronger and more compliant to success.
So, I had to build trust. I had to find faith. And I had to work my butt off.
I had to be willing to do whatever it took to make this journey work, IF I truly wanted to share this gift with others. That meant, doing all the things I didn’t want to do.
As Albert Gray said: Successful people are successful because they form the habits of doing those things that failures don’t like to do.
The turning point…
The guidance I was receiving and now share with others is very straight forward: if you want to succeed you have to follow your soul to your calling and then set aside all of your fears and complaints about it being too hard to create. Sometimes you’ve got to fight for it. Sometimes you’ve got to get out of the way. Sometimes it happens so easily and sometimes it just doesn’t. This is life. And when we embrace it, life becomes much less complicated.
My pathway became dramatically more simple when I learned more about the Universal Laws. More specifically, when I began to understand HOW to implement them. I noticed that a lot of people like to talk about the Law of Attraction but very few share a concise and practicable pathway to developing a lifestyle through them.
So I learned how…
And it was then, that I began to see my own calling more clearly. The spiritual pathway to success IS very straight forward but, like me, many people struggle to find the light that’s shining on their success because they’re looking in the wrong direction – at their unworthiness instead of their own gifts. And at everything that’s going wrong, instead of their capacity to create.
